FotoFestival Naarden 2021 moved to the summer

02-02-2021

The seventeenth edition of FotoFestival Naarden has been moved to the summer of 2021 due to the Corona pandemic. The opening dates of the festival are set from Saturday 3 July 2021 till Sunday 29 August 2021. The submission period for the open call for the festival has also been extended: entries can be submitted until 30 April 2021.

Safe visit Photo Festival

Initially scheduled to run from 8 May to 13 July 2021, the festival board has decided to err on the side of caution and move the festival to the summer. The opening date is Saturday 3 July and the festival will close on 29 August 2021.
The choice has also been made to select locations that can be set up and visited in a 'corona-proof' manner, a number of which are located outside the fortress of Naarden. Attention is being paid to the possibility of one-way traffic and more outdoor locations. In consultation with the municipality of Gooise Meren, a mobility plan is being developed so that everyone can visit as many locations as possible.
The board is keeping a close eye on current events so that it can make adjustments if necessary.

Extension Open Call until 30 april 2021

FotoFestival Naarden has received many applications for the open call. Now that the festival has been rescheduled, it offers the opportunity for even more photographers to submit work. The festival invites professional photographers to submit work for the coming edition. By 'professional photographers', we mean photographers who have completed a professional training course in photography, photo academy or photography school, who have had an exhibition and/or who are members of a professional association (such as DuPho). The festival invites photographers to connect with the central theme 'The Art of Living'.
